Extremely short notice here for two events this month - a workshop and our regular monthly networking meeting. We try to give sufficient notice to our members about meeting announcements, and not always we have the opportunity or luxury to choose a specific date at North York Civic Centre. We continue to remain at the mercy and generosity of the City of Toronto for room availability at the venue. However I wish to thank our hard working City of Toronto Worker, Hala Y, who continues to work hard and provides us excellent support above and beyond - in assisting us with room bookings. Thank you Hala!

THIS FRIDAY - SEPTEMBER 24, AT 7:00 PM
Steve Leitch, our local Certified Management Accountant and an Excel Guru will be providing an advanced Excel workshop at North York Civic Centre between 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Friday the 24th of this month (only 3 days away). Please contact Steve at steve@LinkedinToronto.com for more information about details and room number. Ensure you provide Steve your phone number otherwise your RSVP will not be confirmed. Should you RSVP, please honour it, as seating is limited. Bring in your laptop notebooks as it will help your learning process. Handouts and course content will be provided by Steve (but laptop notebooks will not be supplied). Your donation of $30, $20, $10 or what ever you can afford is appreciated but not mandatory. Receipts will be provided.

Our regular Networking Event at Council Chambers at 7:00 PM. "Our Success is Dependent on How Well We Communicate!"
-- Lorna Blake, an amazing Public Speaker, Empowerment Specialist, Radio Show Host, former Social Worker and a teacher, is our guest speaker and will be offering a 10 minute lecture on how our success is dependent on how well we communicate. She is the author of an Assertiveness Training program and has published an ebook. Lorna specializes in helping clients communicate for success in all their relationships.

-- Membership to our group and attendance is 100% free. We never charge admission fees to our networking events. Refreshments (Pizza's, snacks and drinks) are served and to cover the cost, generous donors and sponsors have come on forward in the past. All 100% of the funds are put back into the community in the form of refreshments, room rentals and advertising, to make this group an exclusive networking group.
